The First Year Q*mmunity group is open to all first year and transfer students who identify across the LGBTQ spectrum. This program exists to build community and engage Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Questioning & Queer students in social, support, and educational experiences.
Peer mentors help to guide each session, plan social outings, coordinate small group discussions and serve as a supportive resource to group participants.
The First Year Q*mmunity meets every Monday at 8 pm in the Student Life Multicultural Center, located in the Ohio Union.
The purpose of the group is to increase awareness of campus and community resources, build community and explore the many social identities and their intersections, and develop skills toward self-advocacy.
