    9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.) The Ohio State University Ohio Union (1739 N. High St. | Columbus, OH 43210) Join us for the Gates Millennium Scholars Bridge Builders, a day-long interactive event designed to provide Ohio’s underrepresented youth the tools and motivation to complete high school. The program will help participants understand how to apply to college, learn about ways to pay for college and what to expect as college students. There will also be information sessions for parents.

    The Columbus Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs is cohosting the visit of Mark Hugo Lopez, director of Hispanic research at the Pew Research Center with The Ohio State University. Mr. Lopez will talk about “The Coming of Age of Hispanic Millennials”; they represent the largest ever cohort of Hispanics to come of age; Hispanic Millennials have distinctive characteristics and by their numbers alone will profoundly shape the future of the United States.   Mark Hugo Lopez Director of Hispanic Research, Pew Research Center

    8th Annual Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference.                                                       Since the inception of the Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference, we have made great strides in fostering an environment for diversity and inclusion. However, there is still much more to be done. In order to remain competitive in today's global economy, organizations must be innovative and creative when it comes to maintaining diversity within their workforce.

    The First Year Q*mmunity group is open to all first year and transfer students who identify across the LGBTQ spectrum. This program exists to build community and engage Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Questioning & Queer students in social, support, and educational experiences.   Peer mentors help to guide each session, plan social outings, coordinate small group discussions and serve as a supportive resource to group participants.
