Come join a community of LGBTQ+ and allies as we discuss Cultivating Change at Ohio State. The Ohio State University chapter of Cultivating Change aims to provide a safe, inclusive network for students who are interested in agricultural sciences and are in the LGBTQ+ community or allies. We are focusing our efforts in education, community, and increasing awareness.
Upcoming Cultivating Change Meetings:
Cultivating Change will be suspending their bi-weekly traditional meeting times.
If you are interested in becoming a part of our community, please send an email to our president, Gage Smith at email@example.com.
The Cultivating Change Foundation, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization was launched at the start of 2016. The Foundation’s mission is to value and elevate LGBTQ agriculturists through advocacy, education, and community. The Foundation will continue to develop new programs and educational materials to ensure our conversations reach a broad audience and promote positive change for LGBTQ+ individuals in agriculture.
Cultivating Change aims to provide a safe space for all people to express themselves. To that end, we have and hold ourselves to a high-level and broad diversity policy, built around respect for individuals regardless of where they are on life’s journey. We prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, color, ethnicity, citizenship, cultural background, socioeconomic status, age, disability, religion, or veteran status. Furthermore, Cultivating Change also prohibits any harassment that detracts from the learning experience or threatens an individual in any form.
